Biggar Museum Trust

Biggar Museum Trust was formed in 1971 to take overall responsibility for the museums and collection built up by Brian Lambie and housed in a number of buildings in and around Biggar. In 2010 the Trustees decided that this important collection should be conserved and displayed in a way which would meet both contemporary museum standards and the expectations of visitors. A new purpose-built museum has been created on the site of the former Stephens Garage premises on Biggar High Street.

 

Biggar & Upper Clydesdale Museum opened to visitors on 28 July 2015

Subscription income from members is vital to the future of Biggar Music, for without it, it would be difficult to make the necessary planning decisions and contract commitments for each season, which usually have to be made at least a year in advance.  We survived Covid times, so now we want to ensure a long-term future with the wide range of talent available in Scotland and beyond.
