Since giving its debut concert at the Bishopsgate Institute for the City of London Chamber Music Society in January 2014, the Pomegranate Piano Trio has quickly established a reputation for fine performances throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As highly successful musicians in their own right, the highlights of their combined solo and chamber concerts have been at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Wiener Musikverein, La Salle Cortot, the Lincoln Center and Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
Previous concert seasons have featured appearances at Cheltenham and Bromsgrove, in which they focussed on a wide variety of contemporary works. There was a Scottish theme, with pieces by Sally Beamish, James Macmillan and Judith Weir, and a world premiere by Rebecca's husband, the rising young composer, Russell Hepplewhite.
Recently, they have turned to some of the great classics of the piano trio repertoire by Beethoven, Brahms and Smetana.

Subscription income from members is vital to the future of Biggar Music, for without it, it would be difficult to make the necessary planning decisions and contract commitments for each season, which usually have to be made at least a year in advance.  We survived Covid times, so now we want to ensure a long-term future with the wide range of talent available in Scotland and beyond.
