Born in Azerbaijan, Jamal Aliyev studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and at the Royal College of Music. He plays a Giovanni Battista Gabrielli cello (1756). In 2017 Jamal made his BBC Proms debut and won the Arts Club – Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award. During 2018/19 Jamal made his debut with the BBC SSO, Royal Northern Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, Royal Philharmonic and CBSO Youth Orchestras, and recitals at Wigmore Hall and the St. Magnus Festival.
The Welsh pianist Jâms Coleman read Music at Girton College, Cambridge, where he was also a choral scholar. In 2016 he completed a Masters at the Royal Academy of Music, continuing as a Fellow. He has worked as a Musical Director and repetiteur and is Artistic Director of a new concert series based in St Clement Danes Church in London. Jâms, performs as a chamber musician, vocal accompanist and as concerto soloist with repertoire including Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms and Mozart.
